From Boise State to Rookie of the Year
Drmic grew up in Melbourne and progressed through the Australian Institute of Sport before playing at Boise State. His return to Australia brought an Adelaide 36ers opportunity and the NBL Rookie of the Year award in 2017.
He later spent two seasons with Brisbane before another Adelaide stint. His family also had an earlier NBL championship connection through older brother Frank, who won with South East Melbourne Magic in 1996.

A Tasmania championship and retirement
Drmic joined the JackJumpers for NBL24 and helped the club win its first NBL championship. That followed an NBL1 Central title with West Adelaide, giving his move south a notable championship backdrop.
On 12 October 2026 the league reported his retirement after 279 NBL games, following ongoing back problems. That announcement takes precedence over older profile wording describing a forthcoming Tasmania season. This page therefore presents his NBL story and available match history without attaching the JackJumpers' next fixture to him as an active player. The recorded game list is not a complete 279-game career archive.
