Find NBL Basketball Where You Are
A city search answers a different question from a team search. You might follow one club all season, but when you are visiting Melbourne, Perth or another host city, you need games taking place there. This directory groups published NBL fixtures by their actual location. A Sydney Kings away game in Perth belongs to Perth's schedule. It does not become a Sydney event simply because the Kings are taking part.
Browse all cities or focus on what is coming up
Search for a city name, choose Australia or New Zealand, and use the upcoming-games filter when you want somewhere to attend next. The default directory also retains cities whose published games have already finished. Those places can still have useful results and venue information. An empty upcoming count means there is no future game listed for that city at present; it does not mean the city has never hosted the NBL.
The next-game card gives you an opponent pairing, date, local display time and arena. Open it to check the match details. The city fixture page provides the longer list and lets you browse dates or results. If your plans depend on one weekend, check the actual dates rather than treating a city's total number of games as a promise that there will be basketball whenever you arrive.
Why a City Can Have Several NBL Arenas
Club homes and individual fixtures
Teams may use more than one home court, while preparation games and special events can bring basketball to other venues. A directory organised only around each club's main arena would miss those fixtures. The venue links here come from games assigned to the city in the current season. They describe published locations, rather than claiming that every arena is a permanent home for an NBL club.
Melbourne is a useful example because both United and Phoenix play games there. A Melbourne city calendar combines the city's fixtures, whereas a Melbourne United calendar follows United wherever the club plays. These selections can overlap, so subscribing to both can show the same game twice in your calendar application. Choose the city feed for attendance planning and the team feed for following a club.
Regional visits and tournament hosts
Places such as Bendigo can appear because of preseason events, and other cities may host an announced Cup or showcase fixture. Their inclusion does not imply that a new NBL franchise has been established there. Use the stage label on a match to distinguish a club warm-up, Blitz game or regular-season fixture. The season timeline explains how those events fit around the league campaign.
Reading Times Before You Travel
Match times follow the time zone selected at the top of the site. A person browsing in Sydney can therefore see a Perth game expressed in Sydney time. The city and arena still identify the real destination. Where the venue's time differs, the match listing also provides venue-time context. Read both labels before comparing a tip-off with a flight, hotel arrival or public transport departure.
Australia does not use one clock throughout the country. Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide and Sydney can have different offsets, with daylight saving affecting some states and not others. New Zealand fixtures have their own local time. Avoid converting a game by assuming that a difference you remember from winter applies throughout the season. The match centre and your chosen display zone are the useful references for that particular date.
From a Fixture to a Night at the Basketball
Follow the venue link for arena information and the match centre for an official ticket link where one is available. Ticket conditions, seating areas and entry arrangements belong to the event organiser. A venue's name alone does not confirm doors-open time, parking availability or accessibility arrangements for your visit. Check the official event notice before booking, especially when a game is conditional or its start time has changed.
The official NBL schedule is the reference for published match locations. When a location is not confirmed, this directory does not guess a host city from a team name. You can still look for the game in the full fixture. For staying home, use the Australian viewing guide; attending the arena and having access to a broadcast are separate choices.
NBL Cities FAQs
Does a city list every game played by its local team?
No. It lists games held in that city. A team page includes that club's home and away games, including fixtures played elsewhere.
Why does a city have no upcoming games?
Its listed games may have finished, or no further fixture may have been announced. You can retain it for results or filter the directory to cities with upcoming games.
Are all arena times shown in the host city's time zone?
The main time follows your selected display zone. Check the time-zone label and any venue-time note when planning your arrival.
Can I subscribe to all games in one city?
Yes. Choose the city in the calendar tool to obtain its subscription address. Downloading the city file instead gives you a one-time copy of its published fixture.
