NBL Games in Sunshine Coast

NBL preseason on the Sunshine Coast

The Sunshine Coast offers a regional setting for visiting NBL basketball, with the current listing centred on UniSC Arena in Sippy Downs. A Brisbane Bullets home designation on a fixture does not move the venue into Brisbane. This page groups games by where they are played, helping you plan the actual trip rather than follow a club name to its usual arena.

The Bullets and Taipans at UniSC

The NBL announced Bullets versus Taipans at the university venue on 12 September 2026. That was a preseason occasion, with its own ticket and viewing information. It is now a past event, so use Completed to revisit the match rather than treating the old announcement as a current ticket offer.

A future visit requires another published fixture. This page does not assume a permanent Sunshine Coast NBL franchise or a full regular-season home schedule. When no next game has been announced, the completed result remains available and the city guide can still help identify the right venue for a later announcement.

Finding the Sippy Downs arena

The university's arena guide gives the address as 32 Olympic Way, Sippy Downs. A fixture may use the broader University of Sunshine Coast label, but the arena is the destination for this basketball event. Check the campus and venue name carefully when booking transport or arranging a meeting point.

The Sunshine Coast is a region with several centres, so a general accommodation or travel listing for the Coast does not tell you the distance to Sippy Downs. Start with the arena address, then plan the final journey and the return trip after the game. Public admission, parking and doors times should come from the specific event instructions.

A multi-sport region and a shared arena

UniSC describes an indoor arena used for basketball, netball, volleyball, futsal and other sports. It is also home to Sunshine Coast Lightning. This shared use makes the arena an established sporting destination, but the spectator arrangement can differ from one sport to another. A netball ticket or diagram should not be treated as the admission or seating plan for visiting NBL basketball.

Community use alongside visiting professional games

The university's facilities serve school, grassroots and community groups as well as elite sport. Players seeking a court session can explore the university's booking information; supporters attending a professional game need the basketball organiser's event notice. These are separate activities even when they take place inside the same building.

Sunshine Coast dates use Queensland local time, which does not change for daylight saving. The fixtures also show your chosen display clock, useful if following from another state or New Zealand. For attendance, the venue-local date and time are the clearest reference. The city calendar includes announced NBL games in this region, without adding the Bullets' Brisbane or interstate fixtures.
